I watch both shows, would pick Sherlock over Elementary in a second if I had to choose but honestly I'm just sick of the most vocal parts of both fandoms. You don't like something? Great, watch whatever you like, there's no need to try to prove that you're a Better Person because you're watching a Better Show.

Anyway, cute picture! :)

JLM(in Elementary) and BC(in Sherlock) collaborated in Frankenstein!

yes!  Gosh the fandoms are still fighting after a year and it's driving me crazy!!   I love Elementary and while Sherlock is a good show and can keep me in one spot for an hour and a half without fidgeting, I don't like it as much as Elementary.

Great drawing :D

Yes, why can't the fandoms be a bit more mature instead of all the hatehatehate? :P Lovely art though~

Exactly!  I love Elementary but I don't post anything bad about Sherlock. I understand they are two completely different shows and while both are good, I just like and find one a lot more entertaining than the other.  I watched the first season of Sherlock (Mostly because my twin made me) and one episode keeps me entertained for a good hour and a half or however long they go for before I get tired of Sherlock and John being... well Sherlock and John.  I find their characters a little boring but that's just me.  But when I saw Elementary there was just something about it and the way that Sherlock and Joan interacted that was totally different from anything else, how they have a partnership that doesn't involve romance because usually a male lead/female lead dynamic has romance but it DOESN'T and it's so refreshing that the show has that and it just hooked me into it and kept me there(Along with the awesome plots, jokes, and supporting cast).  I have a nice even understanding of both shows, and it kind of annoys me when people just make harsh judgments over something they have never seen before.  Elementary has been the underdog of the Sherlock Holmes TV adaptions in the modern times so far and it's sad to see that the fandoms are still fighting after a year now :(

Personally, I found BBC's Sherlock first and absolutely loved it, and it was also my window into Sherlock Holmes as a whole. I also adore Elementary (the Joan&Sherlock interaction is hilarious and wonderful and very give-and-take and I agree that the lack of romance is refreshing), but I don't I would have liked it nearly as much without prior knowledge of Sherlock Holmes. So in that way, I'm grateful that I found Sherlock and I love them both nearly equally. :D

Yay!  My dad loves the classics, so I was kind of introduced to Sherlock at a young age but he kind of fell off the radar until 2009 when Guy Richie put out "Sherlock Holmes" with RDJ and Jude Law and I loved it!  Of course for the longest time we kept catching it in the same spot (The middle of the movie) every time we saw it on HBO until we finally got the DVD XD

My twin then got into BBC's Sherlock (I have no idea how, maybe a friend of her's showed her?) and she LOVES it and she tried showing it to me and I was just kind of thrown off by her fan-girling (Because I am an introvert and have never seen anybody I know personally freak out over something like a TV show) and for a while I didn't really know what to think.  I don't really like that Sherlock can be a bit of a bully and that the police officers are bullies to him as well and, like I said, while it can keep me entertained the interactions between Sherlock and the police make it so awkward for me because I was the victim of bullying for the longest time and it brings back horrible memories :(  BUT other than that, I can admit that Sherlock has some nice jokes, like how the restaurant owner was trying to make them go on a "date" in the official "pilot" episode and how John had to tell Sherlock that "Harry is short for Harriet" and I liked that joke :P

Haha, I tend to act like a raging fangirl, so it's slightly surreal remembering seeing the RDJ!Holmes movie posters with nary a blink whereas now I squeal whenever I see a deerstalker, heh. (I'm ashamed to say I still haven't seen either of the movies, I really must get on to that sometime soon.)

Part of the reason I like Elementary a lot is because Sherlock seems to be on better terms with Gregson- Sherlock seems to be a bit more open with his expressions of sentiment, and Gregson comes off as more of a paternal figure to him than BBC!Lestrade does for his respective Holmes. (Elementary!Lestrade, though... won't get into that right now.) I didn't quite mind the animosity between BBC!Sherlock and his Yarders because it helped amplify the 'Sherlock Holmes is a bit of a dick' character trait and also because it was important to the plot.

Yeah, I love the relationship between Gregson and Sherlock in Elementary, it's just so amazing!! (Although what was with Gresgon's hair in the Premiere last night? Lol)  Lestrade's story in Elementary I thought was fantastic!  The writers showed that there is more to addiction than just drugs, addiction can from anywhere and Lestrade was addicted to the spotlight.  Sure he said that he liked helping people, but I think he just went a bit overboard (And by overboard I mean his reasoning of right and wrong went out the window) after Sherlock left. (this is all my opinion btw so if you feel differently please share! I love to hear different views and opinions to things :D)

Haha, yes, I enjoyed the parallel between Sherlock and Lestrade regarding their respective addictions- and Joan's line was gold: "Welcome to the world of caring about an addict."

I think that this season might have a sub plot of 'Sherlock helps Lestrade with his addiction so Lestrade and stop using Sherlock as a crutch and be a good DI in his own right' to parallel with Joan helping Sherlock out in S1 (which culminated with the whole Irene/Moriarty fiasco, so...I wonder what the big finale will be this season? It's probably too early to spectulate, but I like to wonder~).

Speculating is good though :D  I keep thinking how these different story lines will pan out, I know they are going to do something about Joan's patient accident this season that was mentioned a few times last season but I have no clue what they will do XD  I just want two characters to show up in the next episode, Ms. Hudson and Clyde the Tortoise because I miss those two SO MUCH XD

I loved that line too!  Everything about the show is fantastic and I love it XD

No! The fandoms must argue and fight over which version is the best instead of enjoying each show on it's own. It's sort of like Highlander, there can be only one.

Just watched the pilot episode for Elementary, i thought it was ok, a nice try but it was a little less interesting as Sherlock and the writing for Holmes was kinda bland. Nice try but overall a 4/10.
